I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God...

John the Baptist bore witness to the person of Christ. He was open enough to the Spirit, that he recognized the Son of God, even among the many people around.

As I sit with these thoughts, my prayer is that I too may grow in sensitivity to the presence and action of God in events and people around me. This is probably a prayer that one never stops praying...for one could never receive enough of this grace!

My day was rather cluttered today and there were moments when I became so over focused on the task at hand that I lost touch with God's presence. There was a SD meeting this morning. Then some important faxes to respond to with calls. Then more calls to arrange for an X ray for my dog. She has had recurrent urinary infections and the vet suggested an X ray to rule out kidney or bladder stones!! Then back home and some forms to fill up. A place has opened up in the CPE program and I was sent the application forms. Although there was a chance that I would get a place, I could not really prepare for it until the final answer came today. Since training starts next Friday, I have to complete the forms by Monday. I was glad that a friend connected me with someone who had participated in this program before and I was able to ask her about her experience of this very significant ministry. Her positive description interested me further and I am hopeful that I will grow and receive much from this program.
