Blessed are you if you do...

John 13 : 16 -20
Jesus could "eat bread" with the one who would betray him. What a thought. It would seem like he gave Judas every opportunity, even to the last moment to change his mind about his decision to betray his friend and master. Jesus 'knew' what was going on in Judas' mind, and yet, out of love and grace, chose to keep him in the group. I think I for one would never have had such grace towards a person who was against me!! To "do" these things taught by our Lord, in word and deed, is a challenge to say the least.
"Eternal God, who are the light of the minds that know you, the joy of the hearts that love you, and the strength of the wills that serve you; grant us so to know you, that we may truly love you, and so to love you that we may fully serve you, whom to serve is perfect freedom, in Jesus our Lord"
(Prayer of St Augustine)
